Miroslav Kultyshev is one of the most
prominent pianists of the young generation. He started
his international career in 2007 after winning the 13th
International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. The
chairman of the jury Nikolaij Petrov said: “Miroslav
Kultyshev is a pianist with an exceptional talent.”
Kultyshev actively
performs at the most prestigious world concert halls. In
the season 2007/2008, he performed with great acclaim at
Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Vienna’s Musikverein,
Montreaux Festival in Switzerland, Slazburg’s Mozarteum,
Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, St. Petersburg
Philharmonic Hall and others. After his solo recital in
Vienna the “Wiener Zeitung” wrote: “…..in List’s
“Transcendental etudes” he reached the heights of
virtuosity.”
His concerto
appearances included 3rd Rachmaninov concerto
with Valery Gergiev and St. Petersburg Philharmonic
among many others including an extensive tour with First
Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto in South Korea and Japan.
Miroslav Kultyshev was
featured at famous music festivals throughout Europe and
Russia, including Klavier-FestivalRuhr
festival (Germany), Kissinger Sommer
(Germany), Elba – European Musical Island
(Italy), Mecklenburg Festspiele Vorprommern
(Germany), Stars of White Nights (Russia),
Holland Music Sessions and many others.
Kultyshev has already
collaborated with many renowned conductors among which
are Vladimir Ashkenazy, Yuri Bashmet, Valery Gergiev,
Yuri Temirkanov, Mark Gorenstein, Konstantin Orbelian,
Vasilij Sinayski, Nikolaj Alekseev and Aleksandr
Sladkovsky.
Miroslav Kultyshev was born in 1985 in St. Petersburg.
In 2004 he finished the Special School of the St.
Petersburg Conservatoire. He had his concerto debut at
the age of ten with St. Petersburg Philharmonic under
the baton of Yuri Temirkanov.
